From humble beginnings to global aspirations.

Mockridge Labels & Nameplates Limited was founded in 1966 by Managing Director Mike Mockridge.

It has grown from a small concern to an internationally known company with dedicated staff using the latest technology and processes.

Mockridge Labels is one of the largest manufacturers of product identification in the United Kingdom.

Customers range from electronics and engineering, small outfits to blue chip companies and household names. Chances are that at one time or another you will have seen a label produced by us.

The ranges of products that we offer allow us to produce a label or nameplate that will meet your needs.

Examples of our work can be seen in such diverse environments as household appliances and electronic devices to extreme environments including oil platforms and the aerospace industry.

We can also provide items for use on architectural projects using our large format chemical etching machinery.

Through constant investment and research we keep up to date with all the new technology involved in the manufacture of labels and nameplates and use the latest digital printing machines and 3D doming machines.

DELIVERING QUALITY SINCE 1966

Mockridge Labels are UL approved to manufacture to PGAA & PGDQ2 standards, which means that our products meet the highest safety, and quality standards and we can print the UL logo and assist our clients with getting UL approval for the graphic overlays and Labels we manufacture for export to the USA.

PGAA

PGAA category consists of the Authorised Supplier Program where suppliers of labels and other printed document must adhere to specific printing guidelines before they can print the UL Certification Mark.

Certification for the PGAA program includes an initial inspection followed by regular visits from a UL inspector.

Suppliers with PGAA accreditation can reproduce all UL marks, this is done by gaining authorisation from UL by attaining a UL stamp on your product drawings, which are inspected by UL field inspectors.

PGDQ2

PGDQ2 is a Marking & Labelling Systems Program that covers labels (nameplates and markers) and label materials.

Labels and label materials accredited under PGDQ2 are tested under the UL969 standard, in accordance with a specific set of criteria, including substrate types, temperatures and exposure conditions. This is to ensure that the labels and label materials used will adhere to the final product, with the safety label information necessary to alert product users of potential hazards remain legible.

Labels that have gone through and passed UL969 testing are called UL Recognised Component Labels.

ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION

ISO 9001 is based on a number of principles that go hand in hand with good business practice. These include focusing on customers, involving all people that affect your business, doing things systematically and continuously looking for ways to improve.

Organisations that implement ISO 9001 are invariably a step ahead of those that don’t. This is because they’re usually more efficient and can pass cost savings onto customers to become more competitive. The systematic and structured approach of ISO 9001 means that staff are motivated as they’re clear about their responsibilities.
