Precision Laser Registration System Amazingly accurate Laser Precision Registration system ensures accurately positioned dispensing of the polyurethane, time after time. Wasted labels due to operator fatigue are a thing of the past. Precision Gear Pump Dispensing At the heart of the MDS ECON SX is the MDS Gear Pump resin dispensing system. Dispensing is continous, with no limitation to the minimum or maximum shot size of polyurethane. The amount of material dispensed is computer controlled, for total and repeatable accuracy. Vacuum Pre-Treatment & Nitrogen Blanket Liquid Polyurethane is easily damaged by moisture. All air carries moisture therefore the quick removal of air bubbles from the liquid polyurethane is essential. No bubbles means no time lost in getting back into production, for example, after changing to a new drum of material, cover the surface of the polyurethane with a 'blanket' of Nitrogen to prevent further contact with air. Solvent Free / Instant Wash- Down Dual cleaning methods are standard with the ECON SX. The SX features an automatic washing system for maximum productivity. Automatic washing of the machine allows the use of quick curing resins which do not require heating, and are touch dry in one hour, which permits the production of many more domed labels per hour. This is the quickest and easiest method of cleaning, without dismantling pipe work or disturbing manifold settings, and enables scheduled or unforeseen breaks in production to re-start with the minimum of downtime. Alternatively, the machine can be used in Solvent Free mode where this is preffered. In either case the change over time is measured in minutes Automatic Polyurethane Delivery System The Polyurethane resin is pumped directly to the blending and metering system of the machine from the vacuumed containers in which it is delivered. This ensures maximum ease of use and virtually eliminates the risk of contamination from airborne moisture. Built To Last Unlike some machines on the market, the ECON SX is not a toy. MDS machines are built to withstand the rigors of day-to-day, full-scale production, all the main components are machined steel, brass, bronze etc.. No working parts are made of moulded plastic, which are a feature of some competitors machines. The MDS ECON SX, also includes an integral four foot doming bench of solid steel construction. These are the identical machines that we use in our own busy doming rooms. Modular Construction The modular construction of the MDS ECON range of machines allows easy low cost upgrading to the next machine in the range, by the simple addition of the appropriate modules. Also, in the event of a problem, all that is required is the exchange of the suspect module, which is then returned to us for service. All connections, whether electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic, are clearly tagged with colour coded plug in pushlock fittings, which are simply inserted into the appropriate labelled ports on the particular module. Installation or replacement therefore takes only moments.
